Haha, no I can't imagine they would be, handling a grosbeak is challenging enough (they have really strong beaks and like to remind you of that given the chance!)

I imagine living on Parliament Hill he doesn't have much to fear (except the politicians)

Yes, it was. We caught him during the spring migration monitoring (like most of my other bird photos). If you live near a bird observatory you try to get out to volunteer in the spring, and many observatories do fall migration monitoring as well. It's a great experience!

I don't really know how the population of warblers is doing to be honest. I was a volunteer at the bird observatory, I don't know what the population data looks like. We certainly caught a lot of warblers this spring, but I don't know how the numbers this year compared to previous years or to other areas.

Yes, we caught these birds as a part of the spring migration monitoring program. I was volunteering there - a great way to learn a lot about birds and get some amazing pictures!

The ruby-throated hummingbird is the only hummingbird species that occurs in Ontario, so I'm quite certain that's who it is.

Hmm.... Well, I can see both photos. I can try to upload it again and see if that helps.

Actually it was May 12th.... It seems the website auto-filled the date one day later! I'll fix that.
