Thanks, Liam. This one seemed bigger than a house sparrow, which we have a lot of up here. Also, I thought house sparrows had a streak behind the eye?

Thanks, Malcolm. I didn't know that they were so limber! I hadn't seen a robin all winter, so it was nice to see that flash of red in the grass.

Thanks! They are quite frustrating little things to photograph - they love hiding in the long grass that you can see in the background.

This tree had a hollow-sounding trunk and was significant for the Maya civilisation, but I can't remember what it's called - ceiba?
