hard to ID mantis is right! we have them in missouri which seem hach out around june or july in the evergreens trees! hundreds of them
you better watch out for thoes, the smaller one attack! and go for the ears and eyes! a gaint one like that could draw blood on human easy
most people confuse them with dragon flies but there different should they not be on dragonfly mission so we educate people, one way you tell them apart is you normally never find a dragonfly more than 1 mile from water
