Definitely not a bass. The fins look like a type of stickleback.

I wish I had taken a photo of the other side before I have it back to nature... I'll look around my flower bed and try to find it.

I believe they may be cicada molts. They were found in a ponderosa pine forest where there was intense cicada nose.

Yep, idk if it is possible due to camera phone resolution. I figured it'd be worth a try. These little guys had holes popping up all around this area.
