Hi Sergio! What a cool hopper, and great photos (I especially like the one on your hand for scale)!

Believe it or not, however, I'm pretty sure that this is actually a small species of Fulgoridae, rather than a large cixiid. I don't know what genus it is, though....Zeunasa and Acraephia are possibilities....

Hi Juan....nice picture of a cool treehopper! Sphongophorus is the *old* genus name...this is now the genus Cladonota.

Hi Daniela...nice photos! You're right...this is Dictyopharidae (although I don't know the genus just now, sorry!). However, this is an adult....you can tell immediately because nymphs don't have fully formed wings like this one does (nymphs have wingpads).

Hi Sergio,

This is a spittlebug in the family Clastopteridae (genus Clastoptera)...although I don't know the species.
