The only difference is that it doesn't seem to be growing in the "tower"-like form. Though I suspect this may be from regular lawn mowing.

Thank you for the recommendation! I took the time searching through Wikipedia, google, and a few other databases but was unable to find anything from the figwort family that matched. I finally just googled "purple flower" and sifted through until I found that it looked exactly like wild foxglove!

Indeed, it was a male. Those antennae were larger than the end of my thumb!
