Thanks for sharing! Mine is unlikely to be a coffee bug since there was no coffee tree in the area. It is probably related to Antestiopsis cruciata, also found near coastal area. http://gaga.biodiv.tw/9501bx/549.htm
Just came across your pictures while doing my online search. This tree should be Clausena excavata. Cayratia mollissima is a climber.

Yap, this bug is so common here that I can always spot a few when I go around the park. Of course, one has to look for the right plant to find the bug.
