Wow, thanks for the rapid identification!
Thanks! Yellow swallowtail and tiger swallowtail are the same thing. Mostly depends on where you from. They are called yellow swallowtails around here! Beautiful butterflies though. I never get tired of seeing them.
I think you may be correct, thanks!!
You gotta have the Wikipedia reference!!

Nice Carolina, I loved that movie. That gnome went more places than I ever could.
Yes, I was just posting the link, and that's the only way I saw how to do it. I hope people will look these guys up. They are really unique creatures. I recently read a chunk of de Vaca's journey in the New World where he described seeing a marsupial. I was surprised how many in my class thought it was a kangaroo, because they just didn't know about the opossum. What is funny is that their "playing dead" is them actually passing out from fright.
First thing that comes to mind is a corn snake. Not 100% sure though.
Looks to me like a red maple. Without a clear look at the leaves it is hard to tell. They are native to North America though, so it would have been imported to the UK.
Great shot! What a wild looking spider.
My favorite animal! Love these guys.
