This looks a lot like a 'Pink Bordered Yellow Moth", but the pink pattern looks really defined.... could it be a variation, or perhaps just freshly emerged?

The guys at Bugguide are thinking Formica ravida, but I'm concerned about the range of these ants. Is this possibly Formica Integra?... please help!

Thanks LuckyLogan. It wasn't easy, I had to keep it captured under an upside-down jar for quite some time. I will try to remember to add a dorsal shot tomorrow.
