Thanks! I wasn't convinced it was a Japanese beetle either, I found it where I live in northern Italy...I don't think we have the japonica in here...
No it was in a field next to the campus...the only road in the surroundings is one used by tractors...I don't think it was killed by a car..or maybe it got wounded by one on a road, which is quite far, and then reached this field..Who knows..
Tnx a lot..I imagined it to be some kind of Ranunculus...but now I know which ranunuculus it isn't...
About 1 1,5 cm in lenght, no legs
