Sign In to followThis wood pecker had a feeding ritual that i had never see before, he spent a great deal of time flipping leaves tossing them around. I tried to catch him with one in his mouth.
you may want move this to pets or captive
This is my first nature video, it show how protective the male is over his mate. At the end of the i give reference to the proximity of people and buildings.
those tiny birds barley sit still long enough for a shot, well done
I totally understand where they get inspiration for space invading bug movies. This subject stayed in one place for thirty shots or so. It gave me a lot of time to work on color contrast. The grasshopper was buried in a pot of poppies. Pretty sure he thought i could not see him.
I would never recommend going after these bugs with your camera. I had to back off a couple of times. Honey bees are a little nicer. I witnessed a yellow jacket kill a honey close to this flower.
now this is a money shot beautiful color contrast
how can something see you if it sees though you?
you can see the many faces in his eyes, amazing detail , i enjoy your depth of field choice
