I found this little one while it was searching a rock pile for food I presume. The alum fork of the Saline River is where it was spotted, the water is normally clear and cool. Heavily cobble substrate in the riffles, this one was found on a rock pile on off of the 10 foot deep main river channel. Anything else just ask!
Actually this one found me! Swam right up to my boat on the black river in Arkansas
And this one might as well be a baby compared to many crappie in Millwood lake, Saratoga Arkansas
In between 4-5, the scale I was going to use to weigh it is at the bottom of that reservoir so I'm not positive.
Thank you! It was awesome to have the chance to hold this little mander
Thought so I'm having a herpetologist at university of Arkansas at little rock confirm it tomorrow. Can the authorities on this app confirm it?
