M. longifolia has flowers in interrupted clusters and downy leaves. Your specimen has a single flower spike at the end of the stem so it can't be M. longifolia.
This is not aspen. It's a repeat of another species that's been spotted.

I see that there is some debate on taxonomy, with Lithobates as an accepted synonym. I recommend that you reference the Michigan DNR website for wildlife names!
the serrations and base of the leaf look more like amelanchier than prunus serotina. did you check for the rusty midvein?
