Sign In to followI think this is also commonly known as Sea Nettle, Ry. Just so you know :)
Thanks Megan :)
The only reason I didn't think it was a Mink Frog was because I thought they didn't have the banded legs. Anyhow, I'll change the ID regardless because I believe it to be accurate.
It is a geometer moth. Possibly the Western Carpet or Green-striped Forest Looper (Melanolophia imitata). A moth of the Geometridae family. It is found from southern California, north to Alaska and east to extreme south-western Alberta.
The wingspan is 34-40 mm. Adults are on wing from March to June. There is one generation per year.
The larvae feed on the foliage of various conifer trees, but preferring Douglas fir, Tsuga and Abies species.

I see we have posted a couple of the same pictures from our trip! The good news is that I didn't know what this was! Are you sure about it?
That is a child's hand! My sister (the one holding it) was around eight years old when this was taken :)
Thanks, textless. The snake must have only been about 20 inches long, maybe a bit bigger.
Not odd at all ! I think it's cute as hell :)
I take it back! I believe it to be the rough-fruited cinquefoil!
