The intricate and distinctive pattern of map-like markings on the white wings gives this butterfly its common name. Seen jerkily flitting near a waterhole (Kampire Waterfall Urauchi river).

Iridescent yellow sheen and green oval dots on back, green head with semi long thin black antennae and three pairs colorful glossy red, blue/green legs.

Found clinging to rock face near Urauchi Kampiree waterfall locale in Iriomote. Five rounded white petals, several buds in bunches, small pinkish thinly stamen clusters in the middle
