Thanks Bill. How do i tell Pruinosus from Linnei? It looks like Linnei are a darker shade of green, but it's difficult to tell using bugguide.

I've got some daylilys elsewhere in my yard that match pictures on the web (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_lily). However, the flowers pictured above are half that size of a daylily. I'm thinking it has to be a lily variety though. I'll keep looking...

I agree that it isn't lupine. An image search on Salvia turned up a few hits that look like what I have. Thanks!
