Apparently one day, one army found themselves confronted by a much larger group... they turned tail and ran...
But found their retreat blocked by a huge English bog...
One brilliant boy noticed the iris growing through a part of the bog and figured that where it was shallow enough for iris, it was shallow enough for a fully armoured knight to walk through without sinking out of sight...
They crossed the bog and lived to fight another day... And remembered that the iris had saved their lives....
