Reptiles & Amphibians of the SE
Identify and name the class and genus of each species. Must be found in the southeast of northern america including: Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, and Florida. Photo needs to be clear to show markings. Goal is to name each reptile or amphibian found. If you don't know, put it out to the community to help you research. Please indicate the following when you post to this mission: 1.) location (city & state) 2.) specify environment where it was caught (i.e., under a rock in my backyard.) 3.) time of day and the temperature 4.) season (spring, summer, fall, winter) 5.) special features that describe how it looks in person including color and patterns (i.e. stripes, dots, black, green, olive, tan) 6.) behaviors (i.e. what they were doing when you caught them.) 7.) poisonous or non-poisonous If possible, provide how long the reptile is or compare the size of the amphibian to a common object that others would be able to relate.
