Cedrus atlantica
Blue evergreen with gray bark and small, brown cones. This is a young, planted tree.
Silverset Park. Not native to California. "native to the Atlas Mountains of Algeria (Tell Atlas, Saharan Atlas) and Morocco (in the Rif and Middle Atlas, and locally in the High Atlas)."
Hi Michael, I really appreciate your help with my trees! You have wonderful info on features that distinguish the various trees!
Note needles in clusters, as cedars have; Blue Spruce has evenly spaced single needles.
Probably my favorite tree. I've always wanted one of these in my yard. There are a lot up in Kentucky, but here in Georgia it's too hot for them. My father attempted to grow one here years ago, but failed.
