Catochrysops strabo strabo
How could I ever forget this beautiful butterfly? Amazing name. The Forget-me-not, are a pale clear blue above in the male and black dusted in the female. It has a pair of long white-tipped tails. The species can be found flying around low-growing flowering shrubs in waste places and forest clearings. It feeds on leguminous plants and is associated with ants.
A couple is seen daily in my garden.
