It is a fly! It's a mimic fly. They have the coloring of bees, but if you look at the antennae, they have the short 'clubbed' antennae of a fly instead of the long whip-like antennae of a bee. I think there's another 'give away' for the distinction, but I always remember the antennae rule. :)
