Coluber constrictor priapus

About 12" long. Round pupils. Twitched tail vigorously in defense. Feisty little fellow.

In my garden, under an edging stone.

No snakes were harmed in the taking if these photos ! It was released right after.

What a little cutie! It was be solid black once it gets older :) Glad you released it unharmed!
