Description:

This scrambling and climbing plant has dense spikes of creamy white flowers with reddish purple tips. Each flower is a complex shape made up of four petals forming two lips, with a pouch or spur at the base, and two almost transparent sepals at either side.

Habitat:

Found on cultivated or waste ground, often in semi-shade.

Thanks for the ID, EvaH! I had just found the plant in a book (completely different place to where it should have been!) and came to update and saw the ID.
