How else can you identify it without taking a spore print and looking at the gills at least once? I guess I feel a bit guilty- someone commented on my facebook that I shouldn't do this.

For the record, I did put this one back where I found it so the spores could do their thang.

Oh no! I didn't know that. Gosh I've learned to pull one up to help ID it since I joined PN. I need to take that class! :)
Apologies for pulling it up, apparently this is not as socially kosher as they indicated in my mushroom class.
