Description:

Spreading, trailing perennial. Leaves oval and bright green with a hairy margin. Flowers 30-50mm across and bluish purple; borne on long upright stems, March-May.

Habitat:

Woodland banks, hedgerows and scrub. Widespread native but also naturalised.
