The fruit body is ochraceous-orange to fawn bracket, up to about 10cm across. very hairy upper part. Pores creamy grey, up to 1mm in diameter.

Habitat:

Found mainly on dead Poplar (Populus) wood, or on other hard woods. America and Europe. On the trunk of a dead Holm oak
