Orchard Swallowtail Butterfly Caterpillar

Description:

About an inch long, brown and white, slimy-looking (although it was probably just shiny), jagged spines.

Christiane, thankyou for the ID, that's amazing. I can hardly believe it would change like that in just a couple of days. Leuba, I wondered about the bird-dropping thing myself, it sure looks like that!
