Congratulations Pamela, your Barred Owl is our Spotting of the Day:

"We loved this image of a Barred Owl (Strix varia), our Spotting of the Day! Barred owls are nocturnal hunters and roost on branches and in tree cavities during the day. Project Noah member Pamela Smith has been lucky to observe this owl day roosting for the past 3 days in her backyard".

Thanks! I was so excited that he didn't mind me taking his picture. In fact, he still hasn't moved from his spot.

So cool! I just saw one in Nashville, TN. I got a few pictures, but unfortunately, they are too blurry to post. Thanks for sharing :)
