Trametes versicolor

Description:

Trametes versicolor, which is a member of the family Polyporaceae, has a thin flesh that is leathery in texture. The top of the cap of T. versicolor has concentric zones of different colors. Older specimens can have green algae growing on top of them. The pore surface is whitish to light brown.

Habitat:

Found in Belgrad Forest, a mixed deciduous forest located in Istanbul, Turkey. Approx. Elevation: 150m.
