House Bunting

Emberiza sahari

Description:

The bird roughly the size of a sparrow - and from far away easily confounded with sparrows - with chestnut or rufous body, and white and grey stripped head.

Habitat:

Very common and well adapted to urban settings of Marrakesh.

Notes:

Back to Marrakesh for some work and, as expected, my first wildlife encounter was this one... and penty of swifts - but they were too fast for my camera...
