Bohemian Waxwing

Bombycilla garrulus

Description:

Not the best picture of a waxwing... but this is not the intent. I was amazed by the flock of bohemian waxwings that came just the other side of the road. The birds stopped for few minutes in the trees and they covered it.

Habitat:

Suburban area.

I was as well. Until I saw that. I wish I could spot them again... next year!

I could have imagined such large crowd in starlings only

I did not have enough time to come closer to them and really watch them. The pause was short! I hope to see them again... and closer eventually.

We usually see flocks of Cedar Wax Wings here. In fact I finally saw the red droplets of wax on its wing.
