Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks

Dendrocygna autumnalis

Description:

I counted 14 ducks and I feel they may represent two families. They love the lake at Woodmere where I used to live. Pink bills, Orange feet, grey heads and darker bodies. They make a distinct call when flying over you in the sky.

Habitat:

Lakes, ponds, along the lower South-Eastern States.
