Eurasian Treecreeper

Certhia familiaris

Description:

Small bird. White belly. Upperside is brown. Curved bill.

Habitat:

Wooded area. A pair of these birds and two red squirrels made a simultaneous appearance and for a short while I was spoilt for choice ...totally confused as to which one to photograph first. The birds were spiralling the tree trunk almost vertically.

Notes:

In the fading light I took two shots of the bird and thought I had enough for an ID. Back home was horrified to see how bad both the shots were. My brother in law was kind enough to allow me the use of his one shot! A lifer for me although my shots were pathetic to say the least, I am happy I got to see the species..
