Oakleaf Fern

Drynaria quercifolia

Description:

Dry leaf-like. With a prominent holdfast at the base. Whitish-goldish in colour. Looks brittle but it was growing high up so I could not touch it.

Habitat:

On a tree...a very old tree in a garden that is now a bird sanctuary.

Notes:

I do not think lichens have holdfasts so this must be a fern. Right?
