Description:

Black puffy balls on the end of a log. These are distinctive having blackish, hemispherical fruitbodies of which the flesh has a distinctive concentric zonation.

Habitat:

Riparian hardwood forest.

Notes:

This was sited on the Cicada Trail at Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area, Lewisville, TX.
