Description:

At sea, they fly low over the water, darting between waves. Black above and a white underside. Webbed feet.

Habitat:

Live in burrows, sometimes at altitude.

Notes:

Encountered these fantastic birds on a trip to see their breeding site and to hear about attempts to protect the population from rats.

How nice to see this lovely Manx sheerwater up close & you will be pleased to learn this is the first spotting we have of this species here on Project Noah! We request that you crop the first image so that the focus is on the bird as we prefer wherever possible humans do not feature too heavily in the photos that are shared on this site.
