Queensland blue gum

Description:

Silver-grey smooth bark, peels off into scroll shapes as tree grows. Broad leaves bright green with slightly waxy smooth texture. Seeds in small gum nuts Flowers small fluffy pale yellow, in bunches from base of leaves at branches.

Habitat:

Open forest and cleared land. Drought hardy.

Notes:

Seeds readily with no help. Fast growing. This particular tree took approximately 10 years to grow to a height of approximately 5 meters.
