There are a couple of raptors that this could be. They look very similar in size and appearance:

Tawny Eagle - Aquila rapax : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tawny_Eagle...
Steppe Eagle - Aquila nipalensis : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steppe_Eagl...

I think it's less likely to be the third but I would need to do a bit more research into ranges (wiki says that they overwinter in Africa). I hope this helps.
