Edward's Wasp Moth

Lymire edwardsii

Description:

Caterpillar of some type. About 2 inches long. Covered in fluffy white hair. Very distinctive dark rust orange face with black and white markings.

Habitat:

Found crawling about on a picnic table at Robinson Preserve. Nearby, there was a leaf with a large hole chewed out of it. We suspect it was chewing up in the tree and fell down with the leaf.
