Chlorophyllum brunneum

Description:

Large musty smelling mushroom with patchy brown remnants (of the veil?) on its cap. The stipe has a skirt. Gills are white.

This name Macrolepiota seems to be superseded and is now called Chlorophyllum. It is also probably the similar species C. brunneum found in Australia. More notes here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/111...
