Description:

a member of the Leiothrichidae family endemic to the Western Ghats of southern India. It is dark brown and long tailed, and is usually seen foraging in noisy groups along open hillsides grass or forest.

Habitat:

The usual habitat is open forest, scrub or grassy hillsides.

You picture makes it look much darker than they usually are. Did you use a flash because of the lack of light?

Looks like a cuckoo, but I couldn't find one that matched on wiki.
