Spotting

I have no idea what this might be. I thought maybe some sort of egg? It's definitely naturally made even though it looks like caulk or foam. Spotted on the underside of my outdoor wooden table. It looks like the black stuff is protruding from another one of the white foamy things and you can see it looks sort of hollow on the inside. Would love to know what this is.
