Giant House Spider

Tegenaria Duellica

Description:

Body approx 12mm long, whole spider approx 34mm span (with legs bent). Mid brown colour with hairy body and legs and large pedipalps. Fast moving.

Habitat:

Houses and outbuildings in the UK

Notes:

This is a smallish size one - the biggest I've seen won't fit under a pint glass when you want to put them out of the house. Luckily this one was already outside.
