Orange-Bellied Leaf Toad

Description:

An unspectacular looking toad when first spotted, until you turn it over and find the brilliant orange belly. Small (3/4" 1.8cm).

Habitat:

Fairly common resident of the rainforest litter and trees on terra firma in Peruvian Amazon. This one was in Allpahuayo-Mishana National Reserve, about 23 miles southwest of Iquitos, Loreto, Peru.
