Northern Two-lined Salamander

Eurycea bislineata

Description:

This guy was a recent metamorph and doesn't look like a typical adult yet. I only took photos of it because it was a lifer, but it was doing a really good job of convincing me I had killed it! When I put it back in the water it crawled off and was fine.

Habitat:

Found in the leaf litter of a small spring in a mostly pine forest.
