Passion Vine

Passiflora

Description:

The leaves on the passion vine are used as food plants by the larva of a number of lepidoptera.

Notes:

This passion vine is a volunteer in our yard each year. We probably have 50 or more plants each year. It can be invasive with rapid growth in the spring but luckily it is a host plant for the Gulf Fritillary caterpillar.
