Eastern gray squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

This squirrel enjoying seed that has fallen from my bird feeders is apparently the lucky survivor of a predator attack. The larger wound is hidden by its fur but appears to be healing nicely.

Habitat:

Thanks, venusflytrap2000 - the squirrel is looking pretty good despite whatever had injured it.
