Snowberry Clearwing Moth Egg

Hemaris diffinis

Description:

This moth lays single clear green eggs on the underside of the leaf. This host plant is a native Coral Honey, Lonicera sempervirens.

Habitat:

Wildlife habitat with many native plants.

Notes:

The caterpillars will be bright green with a blue green stripe down their back. They will have the signature horned tail of the sphinx moths. The spiracles (breathing holes) will be ringed with black.
