Virginia Ctenucha

Ctenucha virginica

Notes:

Beautiful moth. Prominent antennae which led to an orange head part. The orange head part seemed to be connected to a metallic teal head part. The wings were all brownish, with visible veins, and forewings outlined in white at the bottom. Moth from top of antennae to bottommost part of forewing was about 1.5 inches.

Thanks Gerardo! I thought it was just a black butterfly until I saw it up close!
