Description:

This Juvenile bird was found by a friend of mine. he found it at is work, it was left behind on a dangers place and there was no adult bird in the area. he contacted me because i have good contact with the local bird rescue. I cared for him last night, feeding him ground worms. really nice bird, this morning i brought him to the rescue center, where a volunteer will care for him.

Notes:

Hello Bas, I am a wildlife rehabilitator, and i love the pictures and thank you for saving this little guy, In these photos i just wanted you to know that he is def not a week old he is probably about 3 to 4 weeks old, and one good thing is to never feed baby birds earth worms, they carry gape worm, which kills them by feeding from the esophagus eventually suffocating them, it is treatable which is good, if you ever do find a baby bird and can't get it to a vet or rehabber, you can feed it the fons diet which is
1cup zupreem ferret food or Eukanuba chicken and rice kitten formula
1.25 cups water
when kibble is fully soaked drain extra water
2 tablespoons of dried egg whites
1 teaspoon active-culture yogurt plain
i jar beechnut 71gram jar - chicken and broth baby food
1/2 teaspoon Avi-Era (bird vitamins)
Blend in food processor and feed warm formula with a syringe .5cc/ml at a time or less depending on the size of bird

Hope that was helpful and thanks again for rescuing this little guy!
